Hello everyone....How are you all doing? I am good (as my Niece says). I am so far back when it comes to empties and product reviews.
Better safe than sorry. Never too late are my comfort words right now.
Lets get into the topic of the day.
Empties.....Product reviews.... Going to try to focus on products that interest me within my empties bin but putting up pictures of everything I used and emptied.
Sol de Janeiro - My nieces' current obsession. They are all into this brand. I understand the love but not the obsession.
Either way, tried their lip butter. Enjoyed this product but the longevity is not there. Will last about 3 hours with no drinking or eating. If you eat or drink, this goes off immediately.
This goes for £15. Can get much better for £3. Not worth it.
True botanicals chebula active serum. Got this in a box. Saved it for winter to fight dullness, provide hydration and fight fine lines. Did what it said on the tin but for a retail price of £75. Not worth it. You can get better from beauty pie for £14. Drugstore brands can even offer some at less cost.
Nudestic nudies tinted blur foundation - This is cream stick foundation. Honestly would not call this a foundation. More of a skin tint. It s cream, lightweight. Would compare the coverage to the Glossier skin tint. Sheer coverage unless you want to build it up. Its good for no makeup, makeup days. For me this is a errand quick makeup product. it has its place but not something I would use everyday. With that, I did re-purchase.
Pat Mcgrath skin fetish sublime erfection foundation. Ran thought a lot of my foundations during the last year, so took the opportunity to replace with products from other brands to see what is out there. However, not with this foundation. Its a pricey one but worth it.
Light, thin formula, feels like nothing on your face. This will work with no primer while illuminating your face, dries down. Covers my impefections, Minimal transfer. Layers well on top of skincare and with other makeup products. Makes my fave look like I am having an amazing skin day. Always gets compliments when I have this on. This is my 3rd bottle gone and replaced it already. Only downside is the price.
Bio-oil dry skin gel - Love how moisturising this is. I just go ham after a shower then toweling lightly. This is my go to for days I am working from home. The downside is if you live in a humid area this will melt into oil.
M.Greengrass enzyme brightening and resurfacing mask is beautiful. Can testify to this product. Should brighten, exfoliate and hydrate. Does what it says on the tin. My hyperpigmentation visibly reduced. It also softened my skin considerably. After every use, I just keep runningmy finger down my face. It is a pleasure to use this mask. Also no tingling or hurt.
Stone street body cream - This is just ok. One of those creams I have to mix oils into it to get enough hydration for my skin. If you dont need a lot of hydration, this may work for you. Would recommend? No. For the price of USD34/£26. This is a hell no. I got it for USD5 from Ipsy. Only reason why I got it. For full price? No! Its over-priced.
Beauty pie perfumes - Always had a difficult time describing scents in writing unless I have a similar perfume I can make a reasonable comparison.
This time, not going to bother. Have one more I am currently working through. Neer going to get these again. Even the member discounted prices are overpriced for what you get. They have no longivity. The sents are not particularily pleasing. Only positive is the sprayer. Looking for discounted perfumes? Go to Noted Aromas.
Beauty pie jeju daily am/pm moisture superinfusion - big words for a big girl face cream - This is my product for my rich aunty vibes. 1st of all. Going to forever keep buying this cream. It is a beautiful product. It looks more like a balm in the jar but when you put this on your finger, its a cream. Can be classified as a hybrid of a balm/cream?
Hear me out. Don't care whatever your skintype is, this is for you. Highly moisturising without being oily or greasy. This is my go to for cold season. This is will hydrate your skin without being oily. Layers well with whatever product you choose layer with.
Very comfortable on, softens, plumps, gives you a little glow, you can feel this from day 1. No downside to this in my opinion. I even use this on my hands during winter months.
Good molecules instant cleansing balm - This does exactly what it says on the tin. It s gentle and gets rid of my makeup easily including eye makeup.
Would I buy again? No. Prefer the beauty bay cleansing balm Find that formula is closer to my hold grail of Farmacy cleansing balms.
Egyptian magic ceam - I use this similarily to how I use the bio-oil gel. Similar ideology. This is expensive and as my sister would classify it, repackaged vaseline. I like it though. Hydrating and softening.
Pat Mcgrath skin fetish sublime perfection concealer - How do they come up with this face and pose them in a meeting without being laughed out of the room.
This is stil my holy grail concealer. I use 2 shades. One for regular concealing which is one shade lighter than my foundation and another a few shades lighter for brightening.
Mac lip primer - Really like this lip primer. Makes my lip product last longer. Also fills my lip lines so product lays smoother. Downside is the price. Subsitiuted with the Nyx lip primer. This scarce and hard to find though.
Nyx brow pencil. Tried so many brow pencils. Can create a whole post based on my experience with these but i digress. This has a spooly at the end wihc is great. The pencil is thin enough to create hair line strokes without the pencil breaking during every use. It still breaks but not as often as "Huda".
It also comes in several shades that no worries you should be able to find a suitable shade no matter your colouring.
Chanel lip balm - Waste of money, where are you? This lip balm should raise its hand. It lasts about an hour on your lips and if you get a drink or eat, its completely off and when it dries down, you are drier than when you applied it. Horrid product. Don't ever get this.
