Empties...

Writer's picture: OSOS

Hello All, today, hope you are all doing great? Am doing ok and pretty proud that I am finally getting a handle on my empties postings.

Weird that we are getting to the tail end of 2024. My only thought is already. Just want to fast track and pray about my desires and wants for this year.

Working towards manifesting it all before year end.

Cannot wait.

Lets get into the topic of today...

Naturium body washes - this is the salicylic acid body wash. I decided to try this body wash mainly because I received a huge discount on it. Got it for about 70% off.

Given the size, it lasts a long while and you need about 2 pumps per shower. A little goes a long way. It is not drying at all. Keeps your skin super soft and gentle on your skin.

Granted, I don't have bumps on my body so cannot confirm or deny this clears body acne but can say, my skin was clear, soft and not dry when i was using this cleanser.

Right after it finished, invested in getting more of these body washes. They are that good.

Ginseng essence water - my face needed hydration, maybe from over exfoliation over a period, I was trying to get rid of my hyperigmentation. I stopped, left my face along other than cleanser, moisturiser and SPF for 2 weeks. Then, I needed a something to plump and hydrate my skin. Decided to go for this essence alongside the revive serum and they worked a treat.

My hyperpigmentation seems to have blurred on the high point of my cheeks, had no breakouts even during my periods. This worked for me. I would highly recommend this.

After work showers during the week, I tend to just go in with body oils over wet skin rather than moisturisers. Lately been using the Aminnah Orange Citrus Body Oil. This is my 2nd bottle of this.

Not a loyal fan of this oil and will not be getting it again.

I dislike the dispener. Makes using it a chore. The oil itself is not the best. Everytime I use this, have to go in with moisturiser on my arms, legs and back.

I don't have to do this with other oils I have used in the past. Biossance oil, the ordinary marula or squalane oil are all better than this.

Cut my hair a few years ago. I use the Oribe styler to style my hair when I have to go out. This keeps my hair in place, moisturises and does not leave me with gunk in my hair which is why I keep buying this. However, if I can find an alternative that works in the same way, will surely switch. The price makes me bulk. I always have to wait for a sale to replace or stock up.

Glow recipe blueberry cleanser - This used to be my favouite cleanser. Others have since eclipsed this but it still works a treat.

Will wash my makeup off without stripping my skin. Does not leave my dry. Leaves my skin feeling really clean. It does have a strong blueberry scent but this is pleasant for me.

It has a gel consistency and can easily slip off your wet hands when washing your face if you don't rub it into your skin quickly.

What I don't like about it is the packaging.

When this is almost done, the pump does not get to the bottom and unless you are about to get creative, some will be wasted.

Pat Mcgrath blurring undereye powder - this is my most reached for setting powder. I use this for all over my face rather than jus undereye. It is incredibly blurring and really makes me look poreless. It is the setting powder I reach for the most. This is the 3rd one I have panned and on my 4th now.

Danessa Myricks yummy skin blurring balm powder - I love, love, love this product. On my 2nd one now.

I use the universal shade for primer and the shade 9 as foundation. This is my perfect shade. I always set this with the Pat Mcgrath undereye setting powder.

While I have seen comments saying this is matte, it is more natural/satin finish on me than matte.

This lasts all day without having to blot. By end of day, my T-Zone is shinny though.

Depending on how much you use, this can be sheer to medium coverage. If you are a full coverage type of person, doubt this will work for you.

Beauty bay chamomile + oat lipid cleansing balm - I really like this cleansing and for something that cost £9 (you can also get this discounted), its perfect. No matter what i have on, this will get rid of it.

This rivals the farmacy cleansing balm which was my go to. The difference in price is why I use more of the Beauty bay cleansing balm as they are very similar.

Been using the revive serum from beauty of joseon alongside the essence. This is perfect. Worked for hydration, hyperpigmentation, sign of ageing (we are all getting along there).

The combination of both the essence water and the revive serum worked and met my needs.

If you reached the end, thank you for staying with me. Will stop here....and see you on the next post.
