Hello All, been a whiie. Hope life has been treating you well and those 2023 goals have been hitting the mark?

This is my 1st? Nope 2nd blog post in months. Been busy with work, life and so on. Things have been incredibly busy and will share some of what has been happening in some format within subsequent blog posts.

Yes! Still talking about brushes, this is something I collect, so will still talk about them. Not going to let my love for this take over but going to feature posts about them, so if its not your thing, bear with me or skip to the next post. No offence taken at all!

Today, we are heading over to Luxie beauty! This is a company, I came across shortly after it launched in 2014. They have a distinct rose gold collection which features synthetic, vegan and cruelty free bristles, rose gold ferrule with a light pink handle. The handles also come in gold, baby blue shades and seem to form part of their permanent lines. They do have some other colours for other limited edition collections as well.

The types of tools/brushes they produce are wide ranging and offered to North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

They are currently under-going their end of summer sale with up to 80% off. If looking to get into this, now maybe a good time.

They have various sets or individual brushes on sale if you are looking for something specific with significant discounts on offer.

I have a significant number of their brushes. Mostly eye brushes as you can see.

They don't hurt my skin mostly. They don't prick my lids. Would not use them for my under-eye makeup. Not soft enough in my opinion for that use. However, that is just my

opinion.

My collection of these brushes were not acquired from their site nor from their independent retailers. They are sold by some departmental stores.

These were acquired via Boxycharm. Yep Boxycharm circa 2014/2015 period. Boxycharm has now been sold to Ipsy and basically, the deals are not as good now as it was then.

At the time, a selection of their brushes were offered in the boxes and also offered in their drop shop (had a different name then), at severe discounts. You could get a selection of 5 eye brushes for USD3 and they were also buy one get one free. So you got 10 eye brushes for USD3 in the drop shop or whatever they were called at the time.

I got a bunch of them and they were what I handed out/gifted to friends and family who needed them as well as my personal use. They served their purpose over time. I still use them now with highly pigmented eyeshadows like my purples, greens etc but this is the entirety of my collection from the brand now.

Some of them have gone brittle over time and my collection will be reviewed and any that has gone brittle or with loose ferrules will be decluttered out so the numbers will reduce drastically.

While I do endorse these synthetic brushes for their softness, variety alongside the ease of washing (pigment washes out of these brushes with ease). They will blend your products in with ease, leaving no streaks. Essentially work-horses. I however, advise caution. Do not get them at full price or even at anything less than 60% off the full price.

The downside to them is, the glue for the ferrule to the handles are not the best. If these brushes are used regularly, they become loose within a few months and break apart which has been my experience.

Do you have luxie brushes? What has been your experience with them? Tell us....

Thank you for reading and see you on the next post.
