Ran through a number of products during March and April....Basically used up a lot of skincare.
I went through products from Beauty pie, Fenty Beauty, Huda skincare, The ordinary, Caudalie, Bodyshop, Sephora, Ole Henriksen, 111 skin amongst others.
My views were varied for this month. A newly discovered holy grail is included in my empties.
Lets' get started....
Used a number of beauty pie products during my 4th skin care challenge. These are my empties from the challenge.
To understand beauty pie, wrote up a blog post. This can be found here: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/beauty-pie.

Emptied 2 additional toners during the months of March/April 2021.
The ordinary glycolic acid 7% toning solution - this is an exfoliant that promotes radiance and leads to skin clarity. In my experience, this works amazing well for my combination (oily) skin.
However, only started seeing the benefits after at least 3 months of continued use.
I use this as part of my evening daily skincare routine and works fine. While this is an AHA, it is quite mild and would presume, this would works for a lot of people. For the price (£6.80) for 240ml bottle, well worth the price.
Caudalie clear skin purifying toner - Really like this toner. Has Salicylic acid which is what sold this for me. Promotes clear skin and prepares your skin for your other treatments. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Easy to use, fast absorbing, however not that hydrating. Kind of dried out my skin.
One point to note is, if you put too much on a cotton pad, it sort of foams when you apply to your face. Would I purchase a full size? No! £18 for 200ml.
Its not the money, just think there are great toners in the market that work better. Waving Hello to beauty pie japanfusion toner.
Creams used this month......
Bodyshop hemp hardworking foot protector - I use this for simple hydration. If I had any dry spots on my body, would be my feet. This keeps my feet hydrated all day. Goes for £11 for 100ml. Will last a while. One of the best foot creams I have ever used.
E45 - reviewed this on one of my earlier blog posts. Link is: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/empties
Ameliorate intensive skin therapy - Had a deluxe sample size to try out before getting a full size. Grateful I did. Don't like this. Sort of sticky, stays on my skin, does not sink in, did not fully absorb for hours on end. Can't abide this body cream.
Wishful yo glow enzyme scrub by Huda beauty - I am not a huge fan of scrubs or huda beauty either (story/blog post for another day).
Always try to go for scrubs that are gentle if I was going to use it at all. Got 2 deluxe sample sizes, was going to give away, decided to try it. Got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This is very gentle on skin, lightweight and exfoliates. Left my skin, crazy soft and hydrated.
Will I purchase a full size? No. This is not for me and just a personal preference.
Written previous reviews on boots ingredients earlier. Link to the blog post: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/supplemental-review.
Augustinus Bader: The rich cream - Got sample sizes to try out before buying full size because its so expensive. Good thing I did. This is terrible. Might work for Victoria Beckham but did not work for me.
I have combination normal to oily skin and this dried out my face after a few hours. Lucky thing I was not wearing makeup the week I tested this out. Its a No! The duo pack I wanted to purchase was the Cream/The Rich Cream Discovery Duo (15ml each) going for £117.
Sephora super serum: Ultra glow serum - this helps improve skin tone and promotes radiance, essentially glow. Ummm.....Had hopes for this.....but no. Tacky on skin, not comfortable. My face did glow but no point if I was not comfortable wearing it.
However, when layered with a matte face cream, that took away the tackiness but the glow also disappeared. This is not for me. Price is USD20 for 30ml.
Fenty beauty MVP ultra fine brow pencil - Got this in a good colour. Does not exactly draw on hair like strokes, but does fill my brows well and does look natural on.
My main gripe with this is the damn brush at the end. Brush???? Why not a spooley? Still have to use a spooley when doing my brows, so that is an additional item.
Would I re-purchase? No. Fell by a damn brush.....sigh.
111 Skin - reviewed previously in an earlier blog post. Link: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/worst-2020-skincare-makeup-purchases
First aid beauty arnica relief & rescue mask - this is supposed to reduce dryness, irritation, dehydration and stress. When i used it, made my skin soft and dewy all day long.
However, this is for people with normal to dry skin. With my skin condition being normal to oily, that might have contributed to the dewy look. Would I purchase a full size? No. Hear me out. I really liked it but this is not marketed to people with my skin condition, not that it did not work for me, it did. Rather go for products marketed for people with my skin conditions.
I earlier reviewed Elemis range and the link to the blog post: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/skincare-challenge-2-elemis
Earlier post on Ole Henriksen oil control range, link: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/skincare-challenge-3-ole-henriksen
Earlier post on sure roll on and glossier body hero can be found here: https://www.thoughtsantales.com/post/empties
Vagisil - Have a preference for gentle wash for woman parts (trying to be polite for young readers) which is sensitive. Opinion: soaps, body wash are usually way too harsh and fragranced. Rather go for hypoallergenic wash.
Tried several brands that did not work for me until I found vagisil and they have several types under that brand which makes it easier to find what works for you.
Well those are all my empties so far......
Having a rant for my next blog post....I understand fact packaging but at times, less is more....stay tuned for more.....
