Peeves…..

Hello everyone! This is me waving frantically! Hope you are all doing good? Me??? Am ok, but a few things have been on my mind lately.....

So many annoying things and bull that brands pull. As consumers, its just trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Completely sick of it and yep its Vieve brand that made me write this so lets get into it.

The 1st brand I am getting into is Hank and henry. Yes! This is a brand that should have faded into oblivion but it remains.

Got a collection of brushes from this brand that I never used. While admittedly I am a Fude user and collector, I do have an extensive collection of synthetic brushes that I was looking to declutter out.

Decided to use these brushes, provide honest reviews and those that I no longer want to house, will be discarded.

Used my Hank and Henry brushes twice, washed the first once and the ferrule came off. Another 2 are already wobbly right after the 1st wash.

That is a complete fail. These brushes are on sale for about US2 for each. if buying for a full face, you will be spending about USD12 to USD14 total. Not worth it for something that will break apart at 1st wash.

Not going to give any further review on this brand and their brushes other than to avoid.

Now onto Vieve powder bronzers.

The selling point for me was the dual bronzers were refillable.

The packaging is solid and will last after the product is used up, consequently I assumed refilling this will be more cost effective as well as environmentally pleasing.

How wrong was I? The deeper shade of the deepest duo is my bronzer shade.

Therefore the 1st powder pan was basically useless. I tried to make use of this as an eyeshadow but rarely as this closer to or my actual skin shade.

This is a picture of my actual bronzer duo. My bronzer shade is virtually used up. Dipping my brush into it now and using as it is not ideal as picking up sufficient product takes longer than I intend so need to get a replacement.

A new one will cost £32. The same problem will exist with the waste of the 1st bronzer pan and a waste of my existing 1st bronzer pan.

Decided to go the refill route.

The refill will fetch £24 but you will be paying for a refill of the 2 pans.

This does not fix the wastage problem.

Mainly promoting the wastage because, I will have 2 bronzer pans that are not usable.

My assumption on initial purchase was that I would be able to refill one pan at a time not 2 pans at once.

Decided to drop this brand and not promote waste.

This led to a bronzer search again! Found my shades easily this time.

Pat Mcgrath mahogany and Fenty Beauty Thick mint are my shades. Also got promotions and saved money on both, so all ends well.

Final note here....lets avoid waste....Refilling pans should be singles and left up to customers to buy what they need not force us to buy more things we don't need in the name of duos.

Going forward, for products that include shade matches, will also not be investing in duos. Realised, one always gets discarded unused!.
