Skincare challenge 2! Took me long enough....... Here we go.....
Articulating my feelings about this brand has been difficult? Challenging? Both? 1 thing I can say is , it is incredibly expensive. Tried a few products from the range. Will try to include prices on everything. That should bring my point home.

Elemis superfood cica calm hydration juice - this was one of the worst products I tried in 2020. Review is on my earlier posts (worst 2020 skincare, makeup purchases). To summarise, this is a gloopy mess, does nothing. Impossible to layer anything on top of it. Piles. A product costing £40 to perform, that badly....I have no words. You can get a £5 product that works much better than this.
Elemis superfood cica cleansing form - Oh boy! This apparently has micellar technology and supposed to remove makeup, grime and leave you feeling refreshed. No! You just have to wonder, how they come up with this stuff. This is a £25 cleanser that cannot fulfil its purpose. Does not wash off makeup at all. Tried that, did not work, had to get out my micellar water to get it off, then back into the shower. Remove the great expectations and this is a decent product. I don't love this but can live with it. Has a scent that is not appealing, but faint so not a deal breaker. Does clean quite well, does not strip your face, however will not remove makeup or anything heavy on your face, For a quick daily wash, this is fine. Just ok, nothing ground breaking. As for the price, overpriced for what it is.

Elemis pro-collagen rose facial oil - one of the reasons I got this is, it has rose hip seed oil in it and looking to replace my rose hip seed oil from the ordinary which feels heavy to me. Considering I use that at night, seemed better to try this as an alternative. I love this product. Supposed to remove fine lines, and grants radiance. Yes to the radiance and my face feels softer when i get up in the morning. Now for the kicker! This is £76 pounds for 15ml. That is just outrageous! i just can't. Rose hip seed oil from the ordinary is £9 for 30ml. Compare the prices. Granted this is lighter and much easier on my face, I just cannot with the price. No!
Elemis dynamic resurfacing facial pads - Now this product I love. £40 for 60 pads. Has lactic acid. Supposed to reduce the look of dark spots and improve uneven skin texture by lifting away dead cells and exfoliate. Does what it says on the tin. Used for 1 month and my skin is brighter. Recommended use is 1 pad morning and evening. I used only evenings, so 1 pack will last for 2 months. This product alongside the price makes sense.

Elemis superfood facial wash - Sigh....another one that is below par...for gentle daily wash to clean, this is fine. Will not take off makeup or even heavy oil on your face at all. £25 for a product that does almost nothing, this is it. I found another use for it though. Very gentle, so works well with my PMD cleaner.
Elemis superfood blackcurrant exfoliator - I hate this product. There are no other words. This does not exfoliate, it clogs your pores. The oil in it is so heavy, after use, you can feel it. I literally have to use the PMD cleaner with the facial wash to get rid of this from my skin. Terrible product!
Elemis superfood vital veggie mask - Supposed to nourish and hydrate for brighter and softer skin. As well as removes dullness and dryness. I don't have dry skin so maybe I did not get the full benefits of this product. I slap it on and after 10 minutes wipe it off. My skin was hydrated and softer after use definitely. Brightness, dullness removal was not noticed during my trial period.
For £30, this did not work so well for me. I did not really get the full benefits, I assume this will work better for someone with dry skin. For what I experienced, i cannot justify the cost.
Elemis superfood facial oil - I do like the oil. However, I had the 5ml bottle. Either way, this was sufficient for a trial. I really like this oil. Had it on as part of my AM routine. Moisturises well, layers well with serums, lotions, makeup. The full size 15ml costs £45. The price makes me bulk at purchasing a full size. If the full size was 30ml for that price, I would get it certainly.

As part of this skincare challenge, I also did the PMD cleaner 30 day challenge (late to the starting point, I know).
This cleaner/cleanser is battery operated and has over 7000 vibrations per minute. Also has different settings you can choose from.
Very easy to use, wet your face, apply your cleanser to the device, wet it and go for it.
It exfoliates very well.
Used it for 30 days, about 1 minute per day.
1st few times I used this device, my skin really broke out, pretty badly. I was going to stop but decided to go ahead.
Took about 2 weeks for my face to settle down. Afterwards, this really cleared up my face, noticed a difference in tone and texture which was very positive.
I like this device, even at the cost of USD99. Be prepared for breakouts initially. This does get better.
That ends my skincare challenge 2 - Elemis.
Final thoughts - I had high expectations for this brand and at the end, I was disappointed. Really did not like most of the products I tried and just cannot justify the cost in most cases.
Maybe, someone recommend their holy grail Elemis product, I am willing to try it.
