Welcome to the skincare challenge 3. This time we are testing out the ole Henriksen oil control range.

Tried out the cleanser, toner and moisturiser. Got the deluxe size packs. They are quite sizeable.

Cleanser - 60ml

Toner - 60ml

Moisturiser - 15ml.

Can get the pack from Boots at £32.

Now onto my review.....

Cleanser - To start with, i was pretty anxious to use this range. While I have combination skin. Oily on my T-zone. i am mindful of the other parts of my face so technically avoid products meant for oily skin, which this is.

Either way, was challenged to use and review this, so not going to bulk from a challenge, went for it.

I have to say, I really do not like this cleanser...Let me finish....before you bury me. I know a lot of people like this range.

This is way harsh on my face, conundrum! I tried using this with a face cleaner and basically gave myself a bruise. When I follow the direction provided, it works fine. Despite the fact that I think this product is harsh only face, it did not dry out my skin at all. Hence conundrum!

This product was ok for me, would not re-purchase again and it was harsh enough that, I used one tube and refused to use the other.

Someone with oily skin will enjoy this cleanser.

Toner - This is a "hell no" for my skin. When I put it on, my face tingles (uncomfortably) for at least 2 minutes (yes, I timed it) before it settles down. The stinging was what I could focus on. Used one bottle of this and refused to use the other. No way, was I putting any more of that stuff on my face than was necessary.

I honestly would not recommend this even for someone with oily skin. Way too harsh...

Moisturiser - This I liked. Did not dry out my skin at all. Pleasant to use and layered well with other products including make-up.

Is it a holy grail? No....For the cost of the full price, you can find better elsewhere.

Final thoughts on the Ole Henriksen oil control range, for those with actual oily skin, worth checking out however, be careful when using the toner.

Has this been a turnoff for the brand? Heck no! Already have the dark spot toner and a few products from the banana range....stay tuned for more Ole Henriksen reviews.
